Nautica 2011

The Nautica 2011 exhibit continues through November 2, 2011. See forty works of art by Ventura County's outstanding artists working in the maritime genre.

Artist and acting judge, Gerri Johnson McMillan, awarded prizes to the following artists:

First Prize: Janie H. Young, Fishermans Life on Li River,Newbury Park

Second Prize: Mark Thayer, Ventura Nights #4, Ventura

Third Prize: Andrea Ashley, Catch of the Day, Hidden Hills.

Honorable Mention: Lorna Amundson, Day at the Beach,Oxnard

Honorable Mention: Margy Gates, One of those Magical Mornings at Santa Cruz Island,Oxnard

Honorable Mention: Ed Cristal, Mother Polar Bear and her Cub, Port Hueneme.

The Ventura County Maritime Museum is located in Oxnards Fishermans Wharf at south Victoria Avenue and Channel Islands Boulevard. It is open daily, 11-5 pm.
